About The Author

Born in 1944, the author lived through various wonderful early childhood years in an army camp filling her heart and mind with feelings of living an adventure. Her later growing years would include experiences that would take her life through hardships and challenges, eventually leading to happiness and satisfaction with personal and career success. Her utmost satisfaction with life came through her children, finally finding her essential love connection and serving others through counseling. Much of her life learning comes from her living relationships, being a parent, and many working opportunities helping others.

Throughout her learning years, she held firm to a desire to expand her understanding and abilities, which resulted in further schooling and participating in various service careers. Work experience included being a hairdresser and eventually becoming a salon owner. Carolynn also worked in the clerical field, fulfilling different secretarial positions, and was privileged to work for a few years as a ward clerk in a Psych Hospital.

After returning to school for a 3-year diploma as a Child and Youth Worker/Counsellor at age 50, her career took a different path providing counseling services for children in schools in her community. Her career included working in schools before developing her own company S.E.E.K. Services Inc. (social-emotional education for kids and families), providing counseling services to children, youth, and families, and supplying contracted CYW/CYC workers for schools in her community. Significant satisfaction came from teaching a Therapeutic Activities course at a local college and sharing her knowledge with graduate students who would soon be providing their counseling services.

It was during the latter half of her life when her writing began. During her career, she helped develop programming to aid in working with children and developed programs to assist in working with children until retirement. Among her published work was an interview program book titled, (Who Am I? Getting to the heart of the matter from a Child’s Perspective.) This book was used as a beginning process that encouraged a working relationship between the client and counselor during the interview process.

After retirement, her writings changed to include sharing life experiences and publishing a whimsical tale titled (Dream Whispers), appreciating an opportunity to connect with the similarities of life energy shared with nature and humans.

Carolynn is grateful for her incredible journey and thrilled to share some of her life’s learning as a budding author presenting inspiration for others in their search for life journey meaning. Her book (Dance of Wills) comes from her heart, learning and turning her mistakes into learning opportunities that opened the doors to love and life fulfillment.
